This is Durden Park Beer Circle’s second edition of their publication ‘Old British Beer and How to Make Them’. It was published in 1976, revised in 1991 and reprinted in 1993.
The first part of the booklet has historical notes of the history of British Ales and beers, brewing methods and materials, and researching Old Beers.
The second part of the booklet describes the brewing methods for the recipes that follow.
The recipes include Medieval Beers (6), Pale Amber and Amber Beers (17), Light Brown, Brown and Dark Brown Beers (23) and Stouts and Porters (12).
